Sync your Open Office docs with Google Docs
Sync Microsoft Documents with Google Docs automatically
Now no matter what brand of Office documents you use (except the 15 of you using Corel’s WordPerfect) can be sync’d with Google Docs and stored online for eternity. Granted being able to edit docs on any PC you ever touch is awesome, and you can use your favorite software – Google Docs, MS Word, or OO.org Writer to manipulate it.
FYI OpenOffice.org Sync is a Firefox Extension and MS Office Sync is an actual program installed on your PC.
(update: yes I tagged Microsoft, open source and Google in the same post)

Google Built Phone Service to Train Speech-to-Text Software
If you’ve called the 800-GOOG-411 at all chances are your voice is being used to train Google’s speech to text recognition (also read as Skynet). I kinda wish Google would have owned up to this one at lot sooner. On the other hand – a perfect way to get millions of samples of human speech, with different accents, pronunciations, inflections, etc. Whoever thought this one up at Google is getting a pat on the back.

Google Maps API Team has added more control over the LocalSearch box that will show up in the lower left corner if you put
Gmap2.enableGoogleBar()
in your script. Personally what use is the LocalSearch Box unless it searches what you are mashing in the map.
Apparently that was the consensus from all the Google Map Hackers and they rushed out more control over the LocalSearchControl

Google.cm and More Used for Typosquatting
Interesting read – I personally use OpenDNS like the article suggests and don’t have this problem. Article has links to OpenDNS FAQ to setup your computer or network to use OpenDNS.
